In the wake of the glaciers

A unique opportunity to experience the Alpine landscape in a different way and understand the impacts of global warming - right there in the landscape by an experienced geographer and climotologist.

Highlights

• Moraines and glacial landscapes (interpreting the landscape and traces left by ancient glaciers)
• Mountain flora (pioneer plants and adaptation to climate change)
• Geology (the geological history of the Alps)
• Climate (understanding global warming and its impacts in the mountains)

Practical information

• Suitable for anyone in reasonably good physical condition, aged 8 and over
• Elevation gain: 150 to 300 m
• What to bring: sturdy footwear, suitable clothing, water, sun protection
• Postponed to the following day in case of bad weather; decision made the evening before by 6 pm
• Each participant joins at their own responsibility
