Saurer old bus Anniversary Special to mark its 85th anniversary!
Two tours, one on Saturday 11 and one on Sunday 12 July, offer guided tours of three villages. Transport by Saurer coach is provided by Anniviers Tourisme to celebrate the 85th anniversary of this legendary bus.
Saturday 11 July
Guided tours of Vissoie, Mayoux and St-Jean with transport by Saurer bus.
1.15 pm – Guided tour of Vissoie led by Jean-Marc Caloz. Meet in front of Vissoie church.
2.30 pm – Guided tour of Mayoux led by René Zufferey. Meet at the Mayoux car park (north).
3.45 pm – Guided tour of St-Jean led by Isabelle Vicquéry. Meet at the car park of the café-restaurant La Gougra.
4.45 pm – Refreshments offered by the Bourgeoisie of St-Jean and return to Vissoie at 5.30 pm.
Sunday 12 July
Guided tours of Ayer, Mission and Cuimey with transport by Saurer bus.
1.15 pm – Departure from Vissoie for Ayer. Please arrive 10 minutes early.
1.45 pm – Guided tour of Ayer by Clément Epiney. Meet in front of the Qi-Lin hotel.
3.00 pm – Guided tour of Mission by Alain Zuber. Meet in front of the Mission chapel.
4.15 pm – Guided tour of Cuimey led by Marie-Jeanne Andenmatten. Meet at the Cuimey chapel.
4.45 pm – Refreshments provided by the Cuimey Society and return to Vissoie at 5.30 pm.
