Presentation

Discover the functioning and the mood of our sun from various commented observations: the heliostat projects, the image of the sun live on a screen; the spectrograph which decomposes the daylight into an “indoor” rainbow rich in information! Finally, the sunglasses with selective filter of 150mm in diameter will reveal the hectic activity of the outer layers of our star.

In unfavorable weather conditions, a conference on the sun with commented projections of the most recent images taken by satellites replaces the observation. The sessions therefore takes place even in unfavorable weather conditions.

Appointment : 5 minutes before the animation, at the François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory.
