Rozinna, tell us about Anniviers
20.00 CHF
An interactive book, 7 stories, 7 walks and 1 CD, specially adapted for children, that will delight young and old alike. It's a book to read, look at, listen to... and discover as you walk.
An invitation to discover the Val d'Anniviers in a different way, by building a bridge between past and present, imagination and reality. It's a colourful little book, thanks to the illustrations created by the children at the School Centre, and it's easy to take away with you, as each story is followed by a description of the walk and a map to help you discover the places where the events described took place. In keeping with the oral tradition, the CD features a captivating storytelling version. The space provided for notes, the educational appendix on local life, the glossary and the bibliography are all tools to stimulate research and further study.
The book grew out of Laurette Etienne's dream as part of the parcoursArianna training programme, which aimed to develop women's entrepreneurial spirit and active participation in regional development. The journey from dream to reality was led by a project group of nine women: Inès Barmaz, Janine Barmaz, Laurette Etienne, Anna Herrington, Monica Hor, Lyliane Melly, Anne Ruppen, Mali Wiget and Nicole Zuber.
The book aims to stimulate discovery while creating a link between generations, and in so doing contributes to the wider dimension of humanity's heritage. Tales and legends used to punctuate people's lives; today they reveal their world and their vision of nature. A better understanding of the past and its message means giving it new life and preventing the path leading to our treasures from becoming overgrown again with scrub, brambles, ivy, moss and oblivion, for a very long time to come... (extract from ‘La grotte de Vissoie’).
