In 1985, a group of scientists and tourism animators organised an astronomical evening to mark the flyby of Halley's Comet. The book published in 2005 reports on twenty years of milestones that have turned St-Luc into the ‘Station of the Stars’. The Planet Trail, inaugurated in 1989, and the François-Xavier-Bagnoud Observatory, opened in 1995, attract thousands of visitors every year.

This work, written under the direction of pioneers Jean-Claude Pont and Georges Meynet, retraces the great moments of this endeavour from the perspective of those who contributed to the development of astronomical activities at St-Luc. Between texts and images, the reader will enjoy discovering the vicissitudes of a beautiful adventure.
