Astronomical Evening at François Xavier Bagnoud Observatory

St-Luc, Tignousa Culture & Heritage For children
  • soireeastro-8126600

As night falls, take the funicular up to Tignousa and discover the mysteries of the sky from the observatory at 2200 metres altitude

Guided by a scientific mediator, you will spend 1? hours learning how to spot the main constellations and the celestial treasures hidden within them. You'll be able to admire them "up close" using one of the largest telescopes available to the public in Switzerland (610mm in diameter).

In the event of bad weather, an alternative programme will be offered. This depends on the precise weather situation, but may consist of a planetarium session or a visit to the Observatory/conference.
